Comments

A family member of mine passed today 6/21 I wanted the new car to be named Butch. Then I thought about all the other families and friends who are dealing with cancer. I thought that it might be alittle insensitive, so name the next family and friends. It truly takes everyone that you've ever known to help one get through this type of crisis. Let the next car honor those who have to help, live, and survive this thing that tries to rob us of life. God Bless You All!!

I had never thought about breast cancer until
my pastor from church at first Baptist of L.A
told the church she had breast cancer.
It was hard seeing her while taking chemo
but she always had a wonderful smile.
I would love it if for the next 2006
car name would be call "Ruth full of grace"
in honor of Ruth Morales my pastor.

2007:Believe 2007 in the shape of Tina Turbo.

  - Posted By: Erick on November 3, 2006

I know that the 2006 one has come out already, but I think the 2007 one should be called Wish or Best. That way we will be sticking to the same kind of names.

I think the shoud Hope Cancer

  - Posted By: Andrew on October 27, 2006

A very important thing to be aware of. My mother died from complications of breast cancer in 1981. I like the name Bobbi, (Mom's nickname). I miss her very much. I like the two tone pinks with ribbons. She would have made a wonderful Great Grandmother, I have 13 Grand children 11 are boys, the two boys are four today, she was a wonderful best friend. My daughters and I do self exams, and because I'm over 50 I have a mam done every year. So if your doctor says lets just keep an eye on a lump, you tell him to lump this and find another doctor.

Thanks for letting me tell my little story. As far as these darling little cars, I am helping my Auntie Ruby to sell hers. I would love to have one each of the Breast Cancer cars.

The 2006 Chevron Car is called promise.

  - Posted By: Promise on September 21, 2006

When is the new Breast Cancer 2006 come out? If I were to chose a color it would remain pink with the ribbons on all sides. And for a name I would chose either Courage or Beleive. This is because I just lost my Aunt to Ovarian Cancer and the courage that she showed all thru it was phenominal. I also have a sister in law that is a 5 year Breast cnacer survivor. Believe would be my choice for her because she always beleived God would bring her thru. And he has. So those are my suggestions.

  - Posted By: Melanie on September 8, 2006

I have the previous 5 Breast Cancer Awarness cars all AFA graded. One question: When is the 2006 car going to be available? It usually is issued in September. THANKS!

  - Posted By: David on September 6, 2006

What is the name of the 2006 car?

  - Posted By: Anonymous on August 28, 2006

I agree that heart would be a great name. I know 6 people named Grace. It is a very common name.

  - Posted By: Lauren on August 28, 2006

My job is doing mammograms. I have 3 friends who have had breast cancer. Each one has been the Sunshine in my life. It is their attitude that makes me feel better on a gloomy day. I think about them when I am down and how they have had the patience, grace and fortitude to lift their chin each day and say "I am here again today. Thank you". Any one of these would be a good name for the new car. Each year I buy 2 cars, one for the grandchildren and one to display at work.

  - Posted By: anonymous on August 27, 2006

As a woman who was given 6 months to live after my diagnosis, and it is 15 years later, I like BELIEVE!

  - Posted By: Mary on August 22, 2006

Please do not make the next car named grace! It is such a common name. I think heart is a good name.

And with the Casey Coupe design.

  - Posted By: Carlos on July 7, 2006

I would like Cherish 2006.

  - Posted By: Carlos on July 7, 2006

I think the 2006 breast cancer awareness car should be named Ribbons or Hannah. why?
because if one is named Faith, another Cherish, four Hope, than this car should also be named something related to things in breast cancer awareness week/month.I also chose Hannah because it matches my drawing suggestions of the car. Or, to match the other cars, maybe Hope 2006 would fit her best.Whatever her name, she should be a girl, because that too matches the other cars. But if you want something out of the ordinary, how about Sally Sweet?
Get back to me as soon as possible on your opinon chevron.
thanks,
Clara

wait instead of champion it should be named cure
and it should be a white with a dark pink ribbin on the side i like that and i would so buy in a hurry

  - Posted By: Marti on July 2, 2006

All the names for the 2006 BC car are powerful and carry the deep indefinable sentiment of family and survivors alike. One name I did not see is "perseverance". This defines not only family, friends and survivors, it also embraces the support personel who walk this walk with us. If not for 2006, how about 2007???

  - Posted By: Zamp on June 25, 2006

I think the new Cancer car should be named"Victory". It should have 2006 on the hood. I would also like a white ribbon on the roof of the car with a tiny"v" in the loop of the ribbon in pink .It should be light pink.

  - Posted By: Peter on June 23, 2006

i like the name CHAMPION

  - Posted By: Marti on June 14, 2006

you know I think prayer would be a good name.

  - Posted By: Linda on May 6, 2006

How about LivOn for the BC car?

  - Posted By: Shasi on May 5, 2006

I would like to see the next Cancer car called, "JOY", or "LOVE".

There's a lady fighting cancer for 7 yrs, going through chemo every 6 mos
I think it takes strength, courage,
hopes & dreams to fight this, shes very brave & has never given up
her name is Arlana & i think it would be a great name for the 2006 car

  - Posted By: Lee on May 4, 2006

I think the 2006 Breast Cancer Awareness auto should be named "STRENGTH" for all those that have the strength to fight the battle of breast cancer.

  - Posted By: Suzanne on May 4, 2006

I think it should be named Grace but Courage I like too!

  - Posted By: Austin on April 29, 2006

From the time I was young my memories of my mother consist of her being sick with brest cancer. For 15 years she faught for her life and the time to share it with my sister father and myself how ever lost the fight on mothers day. Life with out my mom has been tough. However knowing the fight she fought to live for my family helps me to remember how lucky my sister and I are to have been shown our whole life what it is to fight so hard for something. Although my mom lost the fight my sister and I continue it on. Supporting Brest cancer awarness and encourageing people to get them selves checked. I feel it would be in great honor of my mom to have the car named The Mother Mobile the color blue as a reminder of the sky above that holds our angle and a pink ribbon in honor of the fight that we continue to fight.

  - Posted By: Krystyna on April 5, 2006

August 18th, 2003 I became a BC Survivor. My Mom took me to treatments & on the way home had to stop for gas. Imagine my pleasure viewing Hope 2003! My brother then found Hope 2002 for me on Ebay. I now have all cars except Hope 2001 (sigh of unhappiness here). I like the name DREAM. Grace, Spirit, Victory are good names but DREAMs are sometimes the best motivators. As for color...how about Magenta?!

  - Posted By: Lorianne on April 2, 2006

HI: Why dose the car need to be named joy/faith/cure/. Why d'ont you name the car after some one that found a pill for stopping the pain or the frist person to start up one of the foundations that are out there. Every year name a car after them some one who put up the BIG FIGHT and won.THANKS JOSEPH

  - Posted By: Joseph on March 21, 2006

I do think the next breast cancer car shoul be named Grace. That is the way I feel. The name just say's it all. Please consider this name as the name for the next car. thank you .

  - Posted By: winz on March 19, 2006

i believe that the next breast cancer car should be named " courage" because in the fight against cancer patients as well as their families need courage to endure the lengthy process of endless medical treatment, hospitalization, and illness.

thanks

I have every car you have made. I would love to see spot where I keep track of my cars allow us to enter the autopedia cars and the key chain
cars.
I think the next BREAST CANCER AWARENESESS CAR should be called "BELIEVE" OR "STRENGTH"
Thank you for continuing to care about Breast Cancer.
Your friend,
Ricky

I am an 8 year Survivor and my sister is a 12 year Survivor. I have read all the comments and suggestions and was delighted to see many of my thoughts already listed. I think that PROMISE is a good name for it is the PROMISE of a cure that keeps us all going.

I like Collette's suggestion of a twin pack of cars one Female and one Male as men too suffer from Brest Cancer. I really don't know what color for the Male car other than white with the pink ribbon on it.
There are many suggested names that could go together:
Female: Male:
Courage Strength
Serenity Support
Grace Conquer
Inspiration Victory
Peace Survivor
Glory Mammo(Mammogram)

And my favorite pair:
PROMISE VIVO (Spanish for
I Live!)

I love all of the Chevron cars and I have almost everyone of them. I am just a big kid too(65) and I am very proud of my collection and I hope to collect more. Please keep up the good work of supporting Brest Cancer.
And too the good work of making us ALL happy with your Chevron Cars.

Do men or boys get brest cancer? I don't think BC cars should be boys.

  - Posted By: dcu on March 13, 2006

No more Hopes they are already confusing, it is hard to tell the difference between them.
How about twin B.C. survivers, left and right designs and the designs a little differnt because twins are a little different. Personalities, and likes.

  - Posted By: dcu on March 6, 2006

How about survivor 2006 For all the ones that have beaten breast cancer Like my mother

  - Posted By: Dan on March 4, 2006

I own Faith and Cherish. I play with
them every day.My sister says her
favorite Chevron car is Cherish.Faith
was a gift Mommy bought at a Chevron
station.My dad bought Cherish for
me and my sister for Christmas.I think that SE6 should be named
"Friendly".

PS: I do not have SE1,SE2,or SE3.

All of the names suggested for the 2006 Breast Cancer car are excellent choices. I especially like the ribbon suggestions. However, the name I'm submitting is "Wishful".
Regardless of the name picked for this year, it will bring more attention to this dreadful disease that needs a cure to be found soon.

Hope, Faith, Cherish, love all the cars and the names.
All the suggestions are great.

I like the suggestion of Precious.

Hope and Faith
and then
Cherish and Precious.

Seems to finish the grouping.

And then the next two,
Courage and Strength.

Next two,
Serenity and Grace

And so on......
groups of two each October.

I too am fighting Breast Cancer and I love the Breast Cancer Cars.

Thanks for them.

  - Posted By: Collette on January 19, 2006

I like the name freedom. I the car should be a convertable to symbolize the freedom for the survivors and the soon to be survivors just like my mom. With the exception of 2001 Hope, I have purchased all of the Breast Cancer cars for my mom and she displays them proudly in her curio cabinet at home.

A special-edition chevron amblance. Her name is "Thought" because she is thinking about the peaple with breast cancer. She has opening doors, opening back doors, hood opens, and inside;lots of medicasion and a roling bed.

  - Posted By: JUSTIN on January 16, 2006

I think all of the names that have been mentioned are wonderful, so I think you have names for all the future breast cancer cars, I tend to lean toward "Precious" at this time though. All of the people who have breast cancer have been precious to each of us in some way, family, friend or associate, but they have touched us. The time we have with them has become precious also, they should have always been, but now it is even more so, then, facing living with the disease ,or if we have lost them to it, all the momories we are making or have, have become precious. All the time we have or had are now precious everyday . Among the many names you have to choose from, I go with "PRECIOUS".

  - Posted By: Johni on January 16, 2006

The next one should be an Ambulance and it should be called SUPPORT

  - Posted By: Paul on January 16, 2006

I think love sounds good.

  - Posted By: erin on January 15, 2006

How about Tamara 2006? She could be purple. She can look like Icon Car and Sam Sedan! And Helana 2007 that looks like Leo Limo! She can be orange.

Hi,I have the whole collection,I started my collection a little over 5 yrs ago and my husband has helped to make sure I got them all.I went on ebay and got some of them After I drove all over LasVegas Nv to every Chevron station in town to finish my collection And I watch for the new ones to come out.I would like to make a couple suggestions,1 is I think Love would be a good name for the next Breast Cancer Awareness car My mom had Breast Cancer and Had A Masectomy done,She is doing Great tho.2nd I would like to Suggest a Car named Randy Race Car,I lost my older Brother from Pheumonia and I have always wished for a car to come out with his name. Those are my two suggestions and keep the cars coming My whole Family Loves them.

  - Posted By: Linda on January 15, 2006

I think the 2006 Breast Cancer Awareness car should be named "Courage". Our daughter was diagnosed in 2004 at age 27 and we found out about the Chevron Cars while on vacation with her in Palm Springs after all treatments were finished in April 2005.I was able to get the 2004 Faith on e-bay and bought the 2005 Cherish in Laughlin,Nev. this past October.I hope I will be able to get them every year that they are available as a special reminder (as if I really need any reminders!!) of her courage through this life altering experience.

  - Posted By: Terry on January 14, 2006

I think the new car should be named Serenity

  - Posted By: Sandy on January 12, 2006

I didn't hear about the Chevron BC cars until I started at my current job in 2003. My mother was diagnosed with BC in 2001 and thankfully is still with us - her tumors were caught VERY early and treated quickly and aggressively. Currently, she's undergoing chemo for colon cancer, but the "good" news is that it is a new cancer, not spread from her BC.

Anyway, I started at my job in September. In October, I posted a sign in my office about BC Awareness and made pink ribbons available to anyone who wanted one. One morning, I came into the office and found Hope 2003 sitting on my chair. To this day, I don't know which one of my coworkers left her for me!

In 2004, I wondered if there was going to be another car, and found out about Faith through the website (which is also how I found out the cars had been around since 2001, the year Mom was diagnosed). I ended up buying Faith from a Chevron on the way home from Las Vegas, but went direct to the website to order Cherish!

All three of the girls are lined up on a shelf above my desk, where the collection started. :-) Since the collection started with an anonymous gift in 2003, I don't know if I'd ever get the first two Hopes, even if I could find them...

There are so many great name suggestions already, I don't know what to offer or which one to vote for. :-) Keep up the good work and the fight!

  - Posted By: Rebekah on January 11, 2006

I think the car should be name Inspiration. All of the women including, my mother and grandmother, who survived breast cancer are an in spiration to me and all other women around the world.

  - Posted By: Tisha on January 11, 2006

I was at one of your gas
stations and seen the 2002 breast cancer car edition. I bought it for
my mother, who had breast cancer ten years ago. She thought that it
was the best gift anyone has ever given her. So I decided to get her
everyone. Now we have the whole set, from 2001-2005. I thought up a
new idea for the new 2006 edition. Her name would be CONQUER and be a
JEEP. I got this idea by my family loves to off road in our jeeps to
CONQUER the hardest trails. Breast Cancer is a hard trail that everyone
can beat. Well that was my idea for the next one. I hope that you like it.

  - Posted By: Travis on January 10, 2006

My 11 year old granddaughter has collected Chevron cars since the first one came out. I started her on it and she won't stop. I try to tell her she is getting to old, but there is no way she will stop. My grandson is 7 years old & I started them for him when he was 2 & he dearly loves them also. They both have every one but Hope 2001. I think a good name for one on St. Patricks Day would be Patricks Packard. Thank you so much for making my grandskids day with the making of your wonderful cars. Also we could use some garages.

Thank you,

Bev

I had Chemo for a year and half. And when I got off it it, it was like my light came back in my whole body came back to life. Light should be the name for the new car.

  - Posted By: Betty on January 10, 2006

I think Love would be a great name for the new car. My grandmother and great Aunt both had breast cancer so it's something very close to my heart.

  - Posted By: Melody on January 9, 2006

I don't have a story. Thankfully all of the women in my life have been lucky enough not to have been affected by breast cancer. However, I do have plenty of women in my life, and being one myself, definitely support the cause for a cure. I was only made aware of the breast cancer car's existence in 2003 when I saw it in the Chevron store. I love all of the suggestions made by everyone else that has written in. I would like to see the 2006 car be named "Desire". It seems to me that without desire, we wouldn't have such a strong community of people getting involved in finding a cure for breast cancer.

  - Posted By: Jessica on January 9, 2006

What about naming the next Breast Cancer car Courage???

  - Posted By: Jo on January 9, 2006

I'd love to see a 4 car bundle with Faith, Hope, Cherish, and a new car named Grace.

  - Posted By: b on January 9, 2006

Awareness should be the next car.

  - Posted By: Paul on January 8, 2006

I think Courage would be an appropriate name for the 2006 car in honor of all those who are courageously battling breast cancer.

  - Posted By: Laura on January 8, 2006

harmoney. in shape of sam sadan.

  - Posted By: james on January 8, 2006

I think it should be called "life" We hope for a cure so we can continue to live. Also happiness for having had life.

  - Posted By: rose on January 8, 2006

I think the name for the Breast Cancer Awareness Car 2006 should be "COURAGE" or "STRENGTH". When life you with curve in the road or a speed bump, we all need courage and strength.

  - Posted By: Grandmom F on January 8, 2006

I am currently battling cancer myself and know the importance of awareness and getting others involved in finding cures and helping fight the disease. It can be so difficult and trying but it also can be a teaching tool and very rewarding. It teaches you how to fully live your life and what you should really appreciate and enjoy. What seemed important at one point isn't that important anymore and there is much more to life than anyone could imagine. I don't ever consider myself dying of cancer but living despite it and treating each day as another day to enjoy.

I love the cars that are put out and I have the entire collection. Every single car has been fun to have and collect and I most enjoy the cancer awareness cars.

If I were to give any of them a name, I would think "Grace" or "Victory". I love all the other suggestions that have been given and I can't wait until more of them come out. Keep up the great work and thanks for all the entertainment and joy that the cars bring to my little world!!

  - Posted By: Jerrilyn on January 7, 2006

I am so supprised that no one has listed the one true "final" name for the 2006 Breast Awareness Car.

The car should be named "CURE".

Brandie

  - Posted By: Brandie on January 7, 2006

How about "Courage"?

  - Posted By: Leeann on January 7, 2006

I think LIFE would be a good name for the new car.

  - Posted By: AK on January 7, 2006

You should name the car Grace

  - Posted By: Eric on January 7, 2006

It's a word and name with feminine connotation that would surely compliment the special pink car with pink ribbons. I am so fortunate to be a breast cancer survivor, and my personal experience would lead me to suggest that the 2006 Breast Cancer Awareness car should be named "Grace". I have managed to collect all of the cars dating back to 2001 and proudly display them.

  - Posted By: DJ on January 7, 2006

I really like the name "courage" for the new car, but here is another one I like
Patience.

  - Posted By: Jeana on January 7, 2006

I think the next name should be Courage.

  - Posted By: Leeann on January 7, 2006

I think the new car should be Angel. Every one who is diagnosed with cancer needs one. Anyone who passes because of cancer becomes one, and anyone who has met any of these beautiful peoples knows that they have been in contact with one. An Angel is the beauty that comes from cancer.

  - Posted By: Cheryl on January 7, 2006

I like many of the names suggested so far. There is one I not seen yet and I feel it gives a sense of morality, a quality of power, but most of all strength and courage to those who have or may get breast cancer: What is her name?
Her name is "Virtue". And she was born of the angels.

  - Posted By: Timmy on January 7, 2006

After haveing lost my mother to breast cancer in 1971 even after a mastectomy and the best treatment at that time, I think Love, Grace, and Courage would be good names, I also like the name BLESSING'S in honer of the of the blessing's our loved ones and the blessing's of the medical treatments we have today.

I am an older kid [64] who has all the cars. Hope 2001 was the one I prize dearly as I waited too long to buy it and was relegated to ebay where I forked over 72 dollars for it. But its special to me as My sister is a BC survivor and that was the car I was purchasing when she was declared to be clean. Keep them coming. I favor Love for the next one.. Gary

  - Posted By: Gary on January 6, 2006

I would like to suggest the name to be "PRECIOUS".

My mother was just diagnosed with stage four, breast cancer in November 2005.

She is the most PRECIOUS person in our lives and life is very PRECIOUS to her. And with all of our love and prayers, she is going to beat this.

I would love to be able to give her another car, one that is called "PRECIOUS", I gave her "CHERISH" and she loves it. Because we CHERISH her more than anything. PRECIOUS to represent just how PRECIOUS she is to all of us.

I love chevron cars. Infact I devoted my whole life to them and I am 23 years of age. My friends gave me the nickname "the Faithfulnessing". I love to drive my favorite Chevron Car "Danni Driver" around the Chevron Car mat.

I think that the next Breast Cancer Car should be named "Longevity" because more and more breast cancer patients are living longer and longer than before. My sister who is older than my self had breast cancer and had it removed and it has been 10 years since and there have been no signs of it returning. She is a survivor and I am proud of her for having gone through such an ordeal and for being who she is a long term survivor

Joy, love, Truth,Kaila, Kaylin.

I like Grace for all of the reasons listed above. I also think Courage is a good one too!

  - Posted By: PinkGranny on January 6, 2006

I suggest the next chevron car for 2006 awareness for Breast Cancer can be "beauty" and the model can be a porche or ferrari model. please! Thanks

  - Posted By: Lupe on January 6, 2006

What could mean anything more than "Care"? (For this cause especially).

  - Posted By: D on January 6, 2006

as the page was loading i was thinking that survivor would be a good name and that the car could have a 1st and last name...as i read some of the entried i noticed Ann had suggested survivor and then a few more down I noticed that Sherri was a survivor, so what about Sherri Survivor? But I was also thinking about variations on Hope, Faith, Grace and Charity and came up with: Dream, Spirit, Wish, Admire, Embrace, Valor, and Beauty.

I think everyones ideas are great. It is so hard to find a word that describes such a horrible disease. My Grandma and my Mother are both BC Survivors, My mom's is more recent. I think watching her go through all of the Pain, sickness and fear was the hardess thing I have ever seen in my life. She as well worked full time and on top of that she drove an hour toget to work and an hour to get home everyday. she did 7 weeks of radiation and 4 very strong doses of Chemo. She got very ill and of course lost her hair and all throgh it she was still my hero she was still beautiful and amazing. Therefore I think Beauty or Strength would be nice.

why not name the new breast cancer awarness care MIRACLE!!

  - Posted By: shannon on January 6, 2006

We all look at our hobbies and collections as symbols of our personal interests and heart felt concerns. As you view your own Chevron Car collection you may reflect on past memories which the individual car represents. When I look at the Hope collection I have on the shelf I don't have any past memories but I do see my symbol of the feeling I have to reach out and help.
With this I submit two names, "Inspiration", "Courage" which represents our real contribution.

How about PROMISE...because if everyone does everything in their power, we WILL stop this cancer!

  - Posted By: Pam on January 6, 2006

First a name suggestion: Vivo - It's Spanish for I live, and sounds like a car name.
Second, a car story. My father-in-law has been buying cars for my son, who is now almost 7, since they first came out. We very carefully kept them away from, in their original boxes, so he could have a complete "mint" collection when he got older. Care to guess which car he got into, ripped the packaging for, and loves to play with? Yeah, that'd be the very first breast cancer awareness car. SIGH!!!

  - Posted By: jill on January 6, 2006

Yes, put the Breast Cancer Stamp on the cars, Dr. Ernie Bodai got Congress to issue the first stamp in 1998 and the sales have gone in to orbit. He is now trying to get I think 60 nations to also issue a Breast Cancer stamp. You could call the car “Cure Breast Cancer” after his nonprofit group or Dr. Ernie since the cars are usually pink a male name would show both men and women get breast cancer. He is a surgeon at Sacramento’s Kaiser Permanente Hospital.

p.s. I HAVE all the cars and trucks and they are wonderful. At the College I work at we display the pink cars during Breast Cancer Month in OCT. They are all delightful even for a 60 year old grandma!!!!

my sister gave me my firt car it was hope2002.i was diagnos in that year of breast cancer, and i have all the other cars expect hope 2001. the name i would pick would be grace its by the grace of god that am still here.

  - Posted By: phyllis on January 6, 2006

Why not Victoria for "Victory" - that applies to patients, family, doctors and clinics alike! You could even do a tie-in with Peggy Fleming's Victory Rosé Wine Program for breast cancer awareness. Served a bottle over Christmas and everyone loved it!

I think the most important thing in fighting breast cancer is Hope. I think this was a great name that shouldn't be abandoned. If you're set on changing the name, I agree with Ray, LIFE would be a fitting name because no matter where you are in the fight and no matter if you win or loose - it is all about living every day of your LIFE.

A brief aside. While helping clean my nephews room I came across Hope 2001. I took her to my sister-in-law and suggested she be put somewhere safe & explained that Hope 2001 is one of the most sought after Chevron Cars.

"Missy"- short for remission

  - Posted By: Helen on January 6, 2006

I believe that the 2006 car should focus not just on the patients and suvivors, but also recognizing the doctors and/or family and friends' support during these difficult battles. The doctors are the frontline of keeping the cancer in check and trying to cure the body. Family and friends keep the mind and spirits of patients uplifted and strong. I don't know if you can contain doctors, family, and friends into one car, but it seems likely that there will be a 2007 release. Names that pop to mind are Healer(s), Healing, Love, Strength, Support, Dedication, Spirit, and Laughter. I use 'Laughter' because it does help. I'm sure there are other names that can represent the doctors, nurses, hospitals, family, friends, and support groups that surrounds a patient with everything that they need, physically and mentally.

  - Posted By: T.D. on January 6, 2006

I started collecting the cars from the moment I first saw Wendy wagon. Before I found chevroncars.com, the only way I knew of new releases was to check in to our local Chevron station from time to time.

On one particular trip in 2001, I asked if they had a particular car. The attendant said, "All we have is this one," and pointed to one lonely little pink car on the counter -- the only Chevron Car in the store. I'd never heard of it and even though it wasn't the one I was looking for, I went ahead and purchased it. Only after arriving home with it did I realize it was a Breast Cancer Awareness car. This was meaningful to me because years before my grandmother had conquered the disease with only a 10% chance of survival. She was a strong woman who had survived many hardships in her life and breast cancer was no exception.

To this end, I would second the recommended names of "STRENGTH," which is required in great amounts, "MIRACLE," which our family was granted with her survival, "PEACE," which is all that we can ask or "COURAGE." which we all had to find within ourselves. I would also like to add to the pot the name of "CHANCE," because chance is what brings us to this disease and chance is what brings us out of it. There's always a chance, no matter how small.

I think the name for the next breast cancer car should be Grace. As a survivor, I can say that it is by the "Grace" of God that I am still alive.

  - Posted By: Mary on January 6, 2006

As a twelve year survivor I like the name " Grace". I noticed that many others chose this name also.
I truly believe it is only by the grace of God that I am cancer free today. God bless you for the contribution you have made to cancer awareness.
Donna from Texas

  - Posted By: Donna on January 6, 2006

As I read all the comments, Grace seems to be the most popular, and I agree that it is a good one. However, one I did not see and that I like very much is "Victory", for all those who have achieved victory over this terrible disease. How about it?

  - Posted By: Linda on January 6, 2006

I love my cars - all familar reminders as names and colors to symbolize what they stand for. I would love to see "Dawn" for new beginning for the next name and design more towards old style 50's - two tone because we're making such strides in progress every year. Maybe even let it come with a little pink ribbon for the owner to wear or tie on the car. How about a give contest to give away a look a alike painted vehicle? Thank you Chevron for keeping it going!

  - Posted By: Lisa on January 6, 2006

How about "Miracle" for a new car name?

  - Posted By: Patty on January 6, 2006

I think "JOY" would be a good name for 2006. For those who have survived they are Joyous...I know everyone does not survive...my own mother did not, but she was still full of joy for the life she had. I also like the style of cherish for 2006 and the color. A vivid color of pink would be good for JOY. Thanks

Editor's Note:
The Breast Cancer Awareness cars are sold out. However, they may be available at an online auction site such as eBay:

Chevron is not associated with any eBay sellers.

Let's name the new car, "HEART", because I know some ladies who are breast cancer survivors and they do have alot of heart, and so do all the people who care.....

  - Posted By: Woofy on January 6, 2006

Hello. My name is Tony. First of all, I want to acknowledge the wonderful suggestions that others have contributed to this comment section. All the names are appropriate, but for me, one stands out. I have been collecting the Chevron cars since they were first released back in the early 90's. The Chevron Cars that are symbolic of Breast Cancer Survival are relevant to my family and I as they are to many of you. Both my mother and grandmother have survived breast cancer, and my mother lost a dear friend many years ago. Hope and Faith are absolutely essential to surviving this disease. Of equal significance is COURAGE. How does one survive the hardships of life without the indispensable functions of HOPE, FAITH and COURAGE. It seems only fitting that COURAGE be the name of the new addition to the Chevron Car family.

  - Posted By: Tony on January 6, 2006

I really like the name "Grace." As with the first 3 names, it sums it all up in one word (a word that also happens to be a real name).

That being said, I also need to suggest "Josie," after my 88 year old grandmother who is a breast cancer survivor, even after losing both of her sisters to cancer. She is so sweet, so caring, and so loving, everyone should have her as their grandmother (except I don't want to share her...).

:-)

I am looking for the following cars for my collection; Hope 2001; Hope 2002, Hope 2003 and Faith 2004.

I lost my husband, my son's father, Joel to Hepatoslenic(liver/spleen) cancer. As my husband lay on his death bed, I was going through my Mom, Linda, finding out she had a very aggresive breast cancer. Our mantras were....BELIEVE, SECOND CHANCE and THIS TOO SHALL PASS. My Mom had a mastectomy, 2 sessions of Chemo, radiation and kept the FAITH and continued to work full time. She says it was Joel's STRENGTH that kept her going, and I believe both of their STRENGTH kept me going as a widow, a mother and a daughter! STRENGTH is a great name for the next BC Chevron car!

  - Posted By: Tate on January 6, 2006

I think the 2006 Breast Cancer Awareness car should be called "courage". I would love to see the car a light pink with a darker pink and white ribbon on the hood. Thank you for the consideration.

I think the name should be "Determination" To symbolize the will to live and to find a cure.

  - Posted By: Claudia on January 6, 2006

I think the next car should be named Miracle, Due to the fact its a Miracle how many women make it through the treatment.

  - Posted By: Randy on January 6, 2006

Good suggestion Corey! - How about Divine Grace?

  - Posted By: Christina on January 6, 2006

For the next Breast Cancer Awareness 2006 Chevron Car I suggest the name "Carry". The Breast Cancer Awareness campaign carries our hopes for a cure and healing for all victims and their families.

  - Posted By: Cathy on January 6, 2006

Courage would be my next choice

  - Posted By: Yvette on January 6, 2006

I think 'courage' would be a good name. The person who has cancer needs courage to deal with the diagnosis and treatment, so do friends and family to be able to support them.

  - Posted By: Sabine on January 6, 2006

I think Grace is a good name for the next car.

  - Posted By: Britney on January 6, 2006

My daughter had BC and she is a survivor.
I bought her the first car the year that they told us that there was no sign of it returning. That was 2002
She was thrilled, We have gotten all of them since then but for Faith which I missed because of illness.
But that is OK because I still have her in my life.
I agree that it should be "Love" or "Grace"

  - Posted By: Rose on January 6, 2006

My vote for the name of the 2006 Breast Cancer Awareness Chevron Car is "Grace".

  - Posted By: Lori on January 6, 2006

How about Serenity?

  - Posted By: Steven on January 6, 2006

I would like the 2006 Breast Cancer Awareness car to be named "Passion."
I just bought the 'Faith' car. My dad drove around to seven Chevron stations before we found her.

  - Posted By: Ian on January 6, 2006

I think "Grace" is a really good name, or "Lady" (which can also mean noble) or even "Pretty" or "Believe"

  - Posted By: Jeannie on January 6, 2006

My mother passed away from breast cancer in 1999, we still miss her dearly. In the final stages she was content. I believe "Harmony" would be agood name. Thank-you.

In honor of all, how about Courage?

I think a Breast Cancer Awareness package of cars would be great--Hope, Faith, Cherish and a new car, Grace.

  - Posted By: bon on January 6, 2006

I think the new car should be named "My Everything". I mean think about it every woman is someones daughter, mother, wife, sister, lover etc.and to those special people she is their everything.

I have all the cars and look at them everyday.
How about "PEACE "for the next Cancer car?

  - Posted By: sha on January 6, 2006

I think the next breast cancer car should be Harmony

I like the name "Strength", since this is what you need to fight breast cancer.

  - Posted By: Suzanne on January 6, 2006

I think a good name for the next cancer awareness Chevron car should be "Perserverance", or "Perservere" or "Dedication".

Being a Breast Cancer survivor, those two words express the descriptive feelings of not only the person who has been struck by this devastating disease, but for the people who are working towards the cure for cancer.

  - Posted By: Sherri on January 6, 2006

I think the new car should be called Charity.

  - Posted By: Mike on January 6, 2006

I'm a 5-year survivor and at this point I would say my mantra is Alive! I'd love to see you name the next one Alive or Life.

HER NAME IS SHERRY AND I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE CAR NAMED THAT NEXT YEAR. OUR TOTAL AUCTION MADE $10.000 DOLLARS THIS YEAR. KEEEP THE CARS COMING.

In my opinion having lost two family members to breast cancer. They were always positive about their condition. One went so far as to start an awareness group to support others with this dreaded disease. She ran the support group for four years before she was taken from us on December 21 2004.
Both family members had one philosphy. "LIFE."
I therefore enter my choice for the 2006, Breast Cancer Awareness Chevron Car........LIFE!

  - Posted By: Ray on January 6, 2006

I got the very first BC Awareness car when it first came out. I had been getting all the other cars for my son and my husband. One day my son asked me why I couldn't let him just play with the pretty pink car I had to tell him why.

I had an uncle and aunt that I loved very much. When my uncle Ben was in the daath bed after beeing sick a long time. My aunt Charlotte had been there every step of the way. You see, they had no children and they just short of worshiped each other. It didnt take too much longer for my uncle to die.

One of my aunts sister, Lyn came for the funeral and help with anything she needed. One day while they were dressing Aunt Lyn noticed that Aunt Charlotte's brest was discolored. Aunt Lyn had not gone to the doctor because she didn't want anything to stop her from taking care of Uncle Bed. She died a very short time later. But I knew if My uncle knew my aunt was sick he would force my aunt to go for treatment. My aunt didn't want to spend any time apart from my uncle. We lost her just a couple of months later.

I have to do what I can for the BC Awwarrness. Others shouldn't lose their loved ones the way I did. Something has to be done. I don't know when the signs, showed, if she even saw a doctor. But I do know If i was in her place, I don't know what I will do. But I do hope treatment is advanced enough so that I don't have to make the choice she did. I don't want to seal my fate, just because I have to take care of my husband.

After that my son told me that he still wanted that car and he was going to name her Charlotte. (Names are not the real ones)

I think the next breast cancer awareness car can be called "Charity","Fate","Care","Glory",or "Cure."

  - Posted By: WenRui on January 5, 2006

I know It sounds pretty corny, but Unity sounds pretty good. Also, like Corey said Grace or Love would be good too. But I'd rather not have another Faith or Cherish.

Also, I'd like the car to be a Leslie LX mold or a Della Deluxe mold. That would be pretty cool.
